One day late......

and one pound lost!!!!  Not a significant amount, but I am not complaining.  I guess having the Momma of all colds depleted my appetite and coughing up a lung can be considered aerobic exercise.
I was pleasantly surprised when my favorite herb lady at the Farmer's Market asked me if I was losing weight and my sweet student Rachel said she could tell I was losing weight because my face looked thinner.  Well, that isn't exactly where I carry my weight, but all kind comments are appreciated.
What else is making me happy this week?  I just finished my "How Charming" quilt top using Mary Englebreit's new Basket's and Flowers fabrics.  It was SEW much fun to make and brought a cheery smile to my face.
Speaking of smiling.....how is this for making my day????  My daughter ( and newest quilting companion) was sharing with me how much she is looking forward to summer when she and I can quilt, quilt and quilt some more.  Now that kind of joy can't be beat.
So asking Sharon's forgiveness for this late post and after searching for some diet salads, I came up with this.  Not really a salad, but I love a good salsa.  Guess you could throw it on top of a stack of lettuce!!!!  Happy week everyone and keep up the good work.  One more pound down, don't even ask me how many more to go!!!!

Mango and Black Bean Salsa

1 red onion ( soak in ice water for 30 minutes and then drain)
1 mango, peeled, pitted and diced
1/2 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels
1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
2 tblsp fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp salt

Mix all together and enjoy!!! 4 servings,  1 WWpt per serving

I'm jealous of your "How Charming" quilt.... I LOVE the fabrics, and I love Mary Englebreit.. You did a wonderful job on it... I can't wait to see it in person.

Congrats on the pound down... one pound at a time, is how I think about it.

Your Tisket block is cute, and ONE pound is ONE pound! I am always glad to loose one pound. I think one pound a week is good, and more managable to keep off!! You are doing good! I LOVE YOUR MUSIC SELECTION! Thanks for your comment on my blog!
