To Care and to Share....

When I asked a few of my students ( more like my dear friends) if they would spare a couple of hours on Valentines to help sew some skirts for needy children in Haiti, they didn't disappoint me.
They are SEW special ......and they certainly have my appreciation and my heart.

I treated them to some homemade cream puffs....
They kept busy cutting....
....and Mary Lou used her serger to put in the final stitches.
We laughed a lot....
....and made sure that the skirts would fit!
They couldn't be any cuter....
...and when the afternoon was completed we counted 41 skirts!!! But that is not all, because these sweet girls took home material and patterns to make more.
How blessed am I that these girls are my friends? How blessed are the children of Haiti that they will have something cute and fresh to wear because someone cared enough to share their talents?
It was a very joyous Valentines....one of my happiest ever!
