Rest and more rest.....

Our vacation was the best....
unknown destinations and a need for just being together.

We stayed in some cute Bed and Breakfasts...
and each morning over breakfast we would develop a "plan".

Filoli was a must...this is peak season.
It did NOT disappoint.

Walking thru the daffodil meadows made me feel like we were in England.

We enjoyed some lovely harbors....

and indulged in some incredible seafood meals.

We discovered a castle....

...and back country drives and lots of barns.

We enjoyed the majesty of the Redwood forests...

..and the peaceful visions of our California coast.

....and did I mention QUILT SHOPS????
Lots and lots of quilt shops. Jim is a saint.

I plan to take you to all these places in more detail...
I hope you will enjoy the journey!!!

I feel like I could use that vacation right about now... especially that yummy seafood dinner. Love you Momma. Can't thank you enough for your help and support this week. You're truly THE BEST!

Annelise I can see we re kindred spirits! My husband and I love B&B getaways and I love your quilts! I'm a beginner quilter so your work is huge inspiration to me. I just stopped by to visit while getting ready for work this morning so guess what I'll be doing tonight? Reading as much of your blog as I can!

I've discovered your blog through Beverly Parks. Your trip sounds wonderful. We love to take getaways like that -- that location is definitely on my "to do" list of places to go. Looking forward to future posts!

Oh my!! I thought you were visiting another country. You mean that is in California? Beautiful scenery and your music just set the mood. We only have working vacations, but someday...
Can't wait to meet up with you on Saturday.

It really looks like England! Was this just California or Oregon? Pretty pictures you shot!
