In my last post I said there would be NO more sewing for me til after the BIG PARTY!!!
Well, I have to confess.
I was at the convent this weekend for a quilting retreat,
and there was LOTS of sewing going on.
A girl should never tell a lie at a convent (G)!!!!
If we really were "Sisters" Juanice would be our Mother Superior.
She sweetly organizes this fun event
....but you need to know there was plenty of NAUGHTY laughter going on.
Mother Superior might not approve, but we had SEW much fun!!!!
Juanice was making three "bug jar" quilts.
Adorable.
Laurie made this very cute Christmas quilt....LOVE IT!!!!
The girls were making lots of "Ten Minute Tablerunners".
There were some ongoing projects, like this amazing appliqué quilt.
I loved this bright blue quilt...
forgot to take a picture of the adorable prairie points.
Gail might as well have been singing Christmas Carols....
all of her quilts were perfect for the season.

It was a "Stack and Whack".
My "Roomie" Linda was in a holiday mood too.
Lots of fun Christmas tabletoppers.
...and I even got some projects done!!!
Some for now, and some for the birthday party.
Speaking of which...
there will NOW be NO MORE SEWING til the party is a lovely memory.
And that is NOT a lie!!!!!

Looks like so much fun. I;m going on retreat with six of my friends later in the week. It is planned to have a Jelly Roll Race and visit three quilt shop. Hope we get so me other sewing in also.
What FUN! To think you were all together having a wonderful time..and even managed to work on awesome projects...All of you were Blessed!

How fun, Annelies. You deserved a break amidst all your party preparations. It has been way too many years since I have done a quilt retreat. Lots of cute projects. Glad you got some done too.
