Simply Perfect....

Last year for my birthday, my student's gifted me with a
 "Marmalade" Fat Quarter Pak.

I was SEW excited.
Over the year I have cut kits for all sorts of projects...and saved every scrap.

This quilt was the results of the bitty ends of fabric that I could not bear to toss out.

I began with a 5" background center,
place 2 1/2 inch by 5"  scraps along each side.

Then I combined two sets of  2 1/2"  by 5"  strips
and sewed them along the other side.

It makes a 9 1/2" block.

I simply sashed each block, added borders,
and then had SEW much fun quilting hearts and flowers.

Speaking of simply PERFECT.....this bitty miss is going to be my BFF for the next month.

Mommy got a great opportunity to work at her district office,
and Emmerson is going to hang out with us.

Guaranteed it will cut into my quilting time....but I have some great help!!!!

As much as I love quilting, I love cuddling more.

It all sounds PERFECT to me.

Such a cute quilt! Did you stencil the hearts and flowers on to quilt it? And how lucky you are to have such an adorable new bff! I think I could give up some quilting time in exchange for that too! Enjoy!!
