Here was a shower we were all looking forward to.....

Finally a shower that didn't require an umbrella!!! Jill was glowing, the two Grandmothers to be were joyous and Meghan provided the cutest theme ever. More about the theme and the goodies we ate tomorrow...but here is a peek at one of the most happy days ever!
There was a luncheon that everyone seemed to really enjoy.
Oma's sweet cottage was filled with Jill's family and friends. We were certainly packed in as cozy as can be, but it just made it all the more fun.
There was an abundance of gifts to open.....
....which Jill did with a gracious and very sweet smile!
There were lots of cute and cuddly toys to hug.....
.....and darling clothes for the little princess to be.
Many gifts were made by hand.....
... and given from the heart. This sweet dress was made by Oma. It is just adorable!
My cousin Jacqueline made this lovely crocheted blanket.....
......and then was quite surprised to see that we also wrapped the equally lovely afghan that she had made for MY shower 33 years ago!!!! No doubt it will cuddle the next generation as joyfully as it did the first.
Our sweet niece Brianne and her Mom Denise drove all the way from the Central Coast to join the party.....
and Denise even gifted me with a "Grandmother's Brag" book which I will put to good use!!!
I gifted Jennifer with a quilt....after all we are sharing a lovely new Grandbaby and she will need quilts when she comes to visit!
The Dad to be came to share in the end of the festivities....and to help carry all the lovely gifts home. Here he gets a cuddle from his Oma. I still haven't processed that my baby is having a baby!!!
....and when it was time to say goodbye, Oma gifted each guest with a cute bag of chocolate booties wrapped in a ribbon and including a baby charm. Oma is certainly the hostess with the mostess!!!!
Check in tomorrow and I will share all the cute details. Now I am going to put my feet up and take a bit of a rest. It was a busy day, but I enjoyed every minute of it. I know our" Mom to Be" felt the same!

Oh Annie what a wonderful, wonderful day...there is nothing happier than a baby shower. Your mom is absolutely amazing. The feeling of watching your child become a parent is a feeling that I don't even know how to explain. You're going to LOVE every minute of it! ENJOY!

Hi, Annie! I have been reading your blog for the past hour or so; everything is so beautiful. Baby Clare is precious! Congratulations!

I love the quilt you gave to the other granmother. Do you mind telling me the name of the pattern?

By the way, I bought a pattern of yours when Patricia Knoechel came to our quilt show. It's always so fun to see her and spend a little time with her.

Oops! I misspelled Grandmother! lol

Oh, and I have some exciting news...remember how a year ago I asked you and El about being a certified QIAD teacher? Well, I talked to Patricia and she said that she thought El was doing that again, so I went to the website and sure enough, they are!!! I called my friend, Terry. I was squealing and giggling so much she thought I was crying. I finally settled down and told her, and then she started squealing! We are signed up to take classes in Paducah (wish it was CA so I could see you, but Paducah is closer)in February. We can't wait!
