My entire dream of a sewing space was begun by my love of Anne Sutton's studio.
"Miss Bunnyhill" actually wrote me a note when I inquired about parts of her sewing room.
It seems PERFECT to have one of her quilt designs as the focal point of my room.
My craft table is a dream...
but then again, any girl who balanced a piece of wood on her Mom's walker
as a cutting table is easily pleased!!!!
Now there is plenty of space for those things that are much needed.
Cute fabric ( thanks Bev), my IPAD, a clock to remind me when to go to class,
a delightful journal ( thanks Mary) and SWEETS!!!!
This lazy susan was a great find!!!
I found it on clearance at Michaels...it is nice to find all of my tools with a spin.
My cutting table rests on two cubbies...each with six "stash" areas.
In the baskets are all of my quilt patterns, clothing patterns, PDF's, trims and notions.
The decorative touches bring me great joy.
The photo frame is full of vintage pieces...including a glove
that one of my bridesmaids wore at our wedding!!!
The picket fence was made by my BFF's husband....
with decorative pins to hold the patterns on my "to do list".
A piece of molding was cut, painted and now my rulers are all on display for easy reach.
But it is the sweet touches that I love most of all.
The shelf holds precious memories and gifts from people I LOVE.
The bitty piece of lace was from Susan Branch's shop....miss it terribly.
You can't talk about a sewing room without some stash chatter.
My fabrics are happily housed in an Ikea Expedit that is behind the doors of my closet.
I have 24 cubicles of HAPPINESS.
Like having my own store, but I still buy MORE AND MORE!!!!
Finally my favorite place of all....this little display area that I treasure.
Before Clare was born, I found this stencil that said
" sometimes the smallest things take the most room in your heart".
Now we happily await the arrival of Grandbaby number four.
You know what that means....more quilts and more sewing!!!
Now I have the room of my dreams to create to my hearts content.
Yes, I am SEW BLESSED.
